Will Tether Launch a Payment App?
According to a tweet by Paolo Ardoino, the Chief Technology Officer of Tether, he claims to have seen the "future of traditional finance" and states that they will be launching a mobile app based on USDT and XAUT gold stablecoins to facilitate international settlements for B2B, B2C, and C2C transactions.
"This solution will support direct payments, custody, and dispute resolution platforms, and will also integrate with the Bitcoin Lightning Network in the future," Paolo Ardoino mentioned.
From this statement, it can be inferred that the stablecoin issuer Tether may be launching a new payment app, with Paolo Ardoino adding that the app is currently in the beta phase but not far from being publicly available.
