Optimism Conducts Third Round of OP Airdrop

The Ethereum layer 2 solution, Optimism, announced its third round of OP airdrop on the 19th, distributing a total of 19.4 million OP tokens to 31,870 addresses, valued at approximately $27.61 million.

The purpose of the third round airdrop is similar to the second round, aiming to reward users actively participating in governance.

OP Airdrop "No Need to Claim"

The Optimism team emphasized that there is no claiming page for this airdrop. The OP tokens from the airdrop will be directly transferred to eligible wallets, and users do not need to interact with any website to claim the tokens.

The team advises users not to trust any websites claiming to assist in claiming the airdrop.

About the Criteria for Optimism's Third Round Airdrop

The third round airdrop is limited to the period from January 20th to July 20th this year, calculated based on the user's staked token amount and staking duration during these six months.

If a user stakes 180 OP tokens for over 100 days, meeting the minimum threshold of 18,000 staked tokens x duration, the reward cap per address is 10,000 OP tokens.

Optimism Continues Airdrop Activities

The official Optimism tweet also emphasizes that 19% of the total supply of OP tokens is allocated to airdrop activities.

After the conclusion of the third round airdrop, there are still approximately 570 million tokens reserved for future airdrops.
