Fantom CEO Clarifies: Termination of Agreement by Andre Cronje is a Misunderstanding, Only Stepping Back and Handing Over to Existing Team

Anton Nell, the developer of Fantom who collaborated with Yearn founder Andre Cronje, tweeted yesterday (6) that the two have decided to end their chapter in the DeFi and crypto space, terminating multiple protocols on 4/3, sparking discussions. However, the term "termination" prompted responses from Fantom's official team and Yearn developer Banteg, clarifying that they are simply no longer involved.

Fantom CEO Michael Kong Clarifies

Michael Kong stated that the recent tweet by Anton about ending 25 projects was a misunderstanding. They are only ceasing their involvement and transferring them to existing teams. He emphasized that these projects already have their own teams for years, such as Yearn, and Solidex will also take over Solidly. As for Fantom, it remains unaffected, with the Fantom Foundation also releasing a statement that one of the developers supported by Andre Cronje is still actively working with them, with a team of over 40 people.
