More security concerns with re-pledging! Symbiotic

An attempt to establish a trustable layer on top of the Ethereum PoS architecture through the Restaking protocols has attracted a total of 13.75 billion in funding, making it one of the major protocols this year. However, the Restaking ecosystem has become the subject of a big joke, with the scandal-ridden Eigen Layer, ranking first with $110 million in locked assets, witnessing investors who were supposed to lock up their assets actually selling off $5.5 million.

Attempting to establish a trustable system on top of the Ethereum PoS architecture, the Restaking protocols attracted a total of 13.75 billion funds, making it one of the large protocols this year. However, the Restaking ecosystem has become a big joke, with the scandal of Eigen Layer, the top holder of $110 million in locked assets, who unexpectedly sold $5.5 million. CoinDesk disclosed that EigenLayer allowed employees to receive ecosystem airdrops, profiting millions of dollars.

Meanwhile, ranking second and poised to compete with Eigen Layer, Symbiotic, since its official Twitter account was hacked on October 5th, has been continuously posting phishing information until the deadline of October 7th. Readers are advised to install the Scam Sniffer plugin to avoid clicking on phishing links that may result in financial loss.

The appeal of the Restaking protocols is to leverage the value of Ethereum as a trust foundation to provide a trust layer structure for more protocols. However, these protocols evidently have serious internal control issues, with Eigen Layer having suspicious investors and locking mechanisms, while Symbiotic can't even focus on the security of its Twitter account.
