Avalanche partners with AWS, AVAX surges 30%! CEO: It's a substantial partnership, no money paid
Avalanche developer Ava Labs announced today a partnership with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to accelerate the adoption of blockchain technology by enterprises, institutions, and governments through a variety of services provided by AWS. Additionally, CEO Emin Gün Sirer emphasized that their partnership with AWS is different from what other chains claim as "being an AWS partner" because they did not pay for the collaboration.

According to an announcement from Avalanche on AWS, AWS will support Avalanche's infrastructure and dApp ecosystem through the AWS Marketplace, including features such as subnet deployment and one-click node deployment.
Subnet deployment will be added to the AWS Marketplace as a hosting service later this year, allowing individuals and institutions to launch custom subnets with just a few clicks. The one-click node deployment will further strengthen the Avalanche network and provide developers with more flexibility.
"Being able to spin up nodes instantly on AWS, spin up test networks instantly, is a huge boon for all developers," said the CEO of Ava Labs.
In addition, Avalanche's node operators can run nodes in AWS GovCloud that comply with the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP).
Note: AWS Marketplace is a software catalog where customers can find solutions to build and run their businesses; FedRAMP is a U.S. government-wide program that provides a standard approach to security assessment, authorization, and continuous monitoring for cloud products and services.
In addition to the mentioned features, Ava Labs has also joined the AWS Activate program, offering AWS credits, resources, tools, and expert advice to help startups build and scale.
Ava Labs CEO: We Didn't Pay a Penny
Regarding this partnership, Emin Gün Sirer emphasized on Twitter that the collaboration with AWS is not just a typical partnership. He mentioned that in the past, many chains paid service fees to AWS to run nodes and claimed to be partnering with AWS. Emin Gün Sirer clarified that these were merely customer relationships and not meaningful partnerships. The collaboration between AWS and Ava Labs is because AWS recognizes the potential of blockchain and Avalanche, and in this partnership, Ava Labs did not pay any money.
This is a big deal. It's not your grandfather's "AWS partnership announcement." Let me explain in plain English. https://t.co/va8sepRv6h
