MultiChain Hacked for $126 Million, Details Await Clarification
According to the monitoring report from cybersecurity firm PeckShield, MultiChain was hacked in the early hours today, with approximately $126 million worth of encrypted assets transferred to 6 unidentified wallets via Fantom and Moonriver, including various stablecoins and mainstream assets.
MultiChain's official statement released this morning also confirmed that assets locked in MultiChain MPC addresses were abnormally transferred, and the team is currently investigating the incident, with further details pending clarification.
Meanwhile, MultiChain has advised all users to cease using any of their services and revoke any contracts authorized with MultiChain.
For withdrawal requests, users can refer to the Revoke withdrawal website for instructions.
The lockup assets on the Multichain MPC address have been moved to an unknown address abnormally.
