FTX and Ethereum Not Good Enough! TON to Launch Decentralized Exchange
Pavel Durov stated in the Telegram channel that Fragment was able to go live in five weeks because TON is an open and "fast and efficient" platform, unlike the outdated and expensive Ethereum.
He also mentioned the recent FTX incident, stating that the success of decentralized TON blockchain sharply contrasts with the failure of centralized FTX.
He mentioned that Telegram's next step is to build more decentralized tools, including non-custodial wallets and decentralized exchanges (DEX), to provide secure storage and trading of cryptocurrencies for millions of users, solving the issues of excessive centralization and lack of transparency.
Pavel Durov concluded by stating: "The current situation has proven that centralization should have been eliminated long ago. After platforms like TON fulfill the potential of blockchain platforms, the blockchain industry should ultimately achieve its core goal: empowering the people."
