Is CZ a member of the Communist Party? Binance exposes ChatGPT chat records confirming its use to spread "fake news"
In an era of information explosion and easy access to information, media literacy has become an essential skill for modern people. With the rise of AI applications, the information provided by AI may also lead to misleading the public. Recently, the world's largest exchange, Binance, stated that it is facing related issues, with ChatGPT spreading false information related to CZ.

Binance under Attack by "Misinformation" from ChatGPT
According to a report by Fortune, Binance has stated that it is being targeted with "misinformation" using AI, leading to inquiries about whether its CEO CZ is a member of the Chinese Communist Party. The U.S. congressional office has also asked Binance a series of questions, all stemming from responses by ChatGPT to sensitive issues.
Binance's Chief Strategy Officer Patrick Hillmann today posted on Twitter a list of controversial responses from ChatGPT, where he asked ChatGPT, "Is Binance's CZ a member of the Communist Youth League of the China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC)?"
ChatGPT responded positively to this question, stating that CZ worked at CNPC for a few years before entering the fintech industry, and explaining that the Communist Youth League is a youth organization under the Communist Party.
Subsequently, Patrick Hillmann attempted to inquire about the sources of the related claims, to which ChatGPT stated that the information came from CZ's LinkedIn profile and Forbes reports. However, upon verification by Patrick Hillmann, these pages provided by ChatGPT could not be displayed, failing to prove the accuracy of ChatGPT's claims.
"Like any new technology, bad actors will attempt to exploit it for profit or political gain in the early stages. I hope to raise awareness of such issues and prevent people from using AI-generated responses solely to defame others," said Patrick Hillmann.

ChatGPT Reverses Statement, Claims CZ is Not a Communist Party Member
After being asked the same question in both Chinese and English, ChatGPT's responses have all been changed to deny, also mentioning that Binance is being affected by false information campaigns related to AI.
