Klay Thompson made a comeback after 941 days recovering from left knee and right Achilles tendon injuries. He returned to the court in a game against the Cleveland Cavaliers yesterday and secured a victory.
However, in his first tweet of 2022, Thompson surprisingly did not mention his triumphant return to the court. Instead, he tweeted:
I'm back and making changes: thrilled to be paid in Bitcoin thanks to Cash App! I support Bitcoin because I believe it is the future of money. Additionally, Andre Iguodala and I will be giving away $1 million worth of Bitcoin.

Andre Iguodala
Iguodala also posted a similar tweet to Thompson's, asking Bitcoin giveaway participants to leave their Cash App ID in the post and follow Cash App on Twitter, along with the hashtag "#PaidInBitcoin."
I’m excited to announce I’m taking part of my salary in BITCOIN w. Cash App! Bitcoin is the future, @klaythompson and I are both believers. To make bitcoin more accessible, we're giving out $1M in bitcoin back to fans today. Drop your $cashtag w. #PaidInBitcoin & follow @CashApp

From the video, it is evident that this is a sponsored collaboration between Cash App and the players. However, Cash App did not make any official related tweets but only left a comment under Iguodala and Thompson's tweets.
Iguodala's previous investment portfolio includes blockchain and cryptocurrency, having participated in funding for the FLOW platform developer, Dapper Labs. He also revealed on Twitter on September 5 last year that his OpenSea was hacked, and his held NFTs seemed to have been sold off.
