Apple Co-Founder Steve Wozniak praises Bitcoin: More scarce than gold, an astonishing mathematical miracle

"Someday, we will manufacture gold in factories." Steve Wozniak said.

Gold is not as scarce as Bitcoin

According to local Mexican media El Sol de México, Apple's co-founder Steve Wozniak recently attended the Talent Land Digital event in Jalisco, Mexico.

He once again praised Bitcoin:

Bitcoin may be better than gold. We have been looking for gold all the time, but one day we will produce gold in factories. Bitcoin is the most amazing mathematical miracle.

He mentioned that he has not invested in Bitcoin, but firmly believes it will have a place in the future.

Previously Sold Bitcoin at Highs

This is not the first time Steve Wozniak has publicly praised Bitcoin, and when he says he has not invested in Bitcoin, it likely refers to the present.

Because in an interview with CNBC in 2018, he mentioned that he bought Bitcoin at $700, and due to the volatility that he did not want to constantly monitor, he successfully cashed out at the peak, but did not disclose the exact time and amount.

A New Type of Internet

Furthermore, in 2018 at the ChainXchange conference, he highly praised blockchain technology:

It is so independent, a bit like a new type of internet. I am amazed by the technology behind it. I've met people working in real estate, under the Uber system, especially those involving transactions in our lives, things that few people can see the value behind, which reminds me of the early days of the internet.

Previously, Twitter's founder Jack Dorsey believed that Bitcoin would become a global currency in a few years, and Steve Wozniak hopes this will happen. He stated:

Bitcoin operates based on mathematical principles, with a fixed total amount and distribution method, no specific individuals or companies in operation. It continues to grow and survive, which to me is the result of natural operation, which is more important than all conventions.
