Sold out in seconds! Trump launches limited edition $499 Bitcoin sneakers, Bitcoin conference raises tens of millions of dollars

Former U.S. President Trump stole the spotlight by announcing yesterday the launch of three "Bitcoin-themed sneakers" on his online store, priced between $299 and $499. One of the models has already sold out, leading to a surge in prices on eBay. Prior to this, he raised $21 million at a previous Bitcoin conference.

Trump Bitcoin Sneakers Sold Out Within Three Hours

Donald Trump, the Republican presidential candidate, who revealed last week that he would release his fourth NFT series, has now launched three "Bitcoin sneakers" on his Trump Sneakers website.

It is reported that the three sneakers were made available for pre-order yesterday. One of them, a limited edition of 1,000 pairs of orange high-top shoes, with the incentive of randomly receiving 5 pairs signed by Trump himself, sold out within three hours.

The official website shows that in addition to sneakers, the Trump team also sells other Trump-themed products, including perfumes and refrigerators.

eBay Scalpers Seize Opportunity

Soon after, a variety of products related to "Donald Trump bitcoin shoes" appeared on the American e-commerce platform eBay. It is still unclear whether these sellers have successfully obtained pre-order qualifications or are just trying to scam money.

However, what can be confirmed is that the majority of reselling prices range from $700 to $2,500, with promises to ship pre-ordered goods received between September and November to buyers.

However, apart from the high-top orange sneakers, the other two sneakers have not appeared on eBay yet but can still be pre-ordered on the official website.

Now, his campaign strategy seems to be working as reported by The Block, Trump raised over $21 million during the Bitcoin conference; with the main contributions coming from participation fees of approximately $844,000 and photo fees ranging from $60,000 to $100,000.

In addition, since Trump started accepting cryptocurrency donations in May, it is claimed that he has raised over $4 million in cryptocurrency, with over $2.15 million coming from 19 major donors. This seems to be the reason why Trump mentioned in his speech that he had raised $25 million in cryptocurrency.
