Tether Increases Holdings by 8,888 BTC
On-chain data shows that Tether added 8,888 bitcoins to its holdings in the early hours of April 1st, worth approximately $629 million.
The relevant data is as follows:
Total Holdings: 75,354 bitcoins, approximately $5.31 billion
Average Holding Price: approximately $47,988
Total Cost: approximately $2.302 billion
- Unrealized Profit: $3.008 billion
Previously reported, Tether announced that starting from May 2023, it will allocate 15% of its realized net operating income, such as realized USD gains from treasury securities, to purchase bitcoins.

Tether Ranks Third in Bitcoin Holdings among Private Companies
According to data from BitcoinTreasuries, as of now, Tether's bitcoin holdings rank third among private companies, following only EOS developer Block.one with 164,000 bitcoins and the bankrupt exchange Mt.GOX.
MicroStrategy, MSTR, known for its bitcoin investments, holds 214,246 bitcoins.
