The software development company MicroStrategy has once again entered the Bitcoin market with an average price of over $50,000, marking one of the highest buying prices for MicroStrategy to date. As Bitcoin approaches the $60,000 mark, MicroStrategy's Bitcoin holdings are valued at over $10 billion, with nearly $5 billion in unrealized gains.

According to the SEC filing released by MicroStrategy, the company made another Bitcoin purchase on the 26th:

  • Amount Purchased: 3,000 BTC

  • Average Cost: $31,544

  • Total Holdings: 193,000 BTC

MicroStrategy's Bitcoin Unrealized Profit Approaching $5 Billion

When Bitcoin was still at the $52,000 level, MicroStrategy's Bitcoin holdings were already close to $10 billion.

As of the time of writing with Bitcoin price around $56,189, the value of MicroStrategy's Bitcoin holdings has reached $10.8 billion, with unrealized gains exceeding $4.7 billion.

This purchase of 3,000 BTC is also one of the highest entry prices MicroStrategy has ever made, with buying prices above $50,000 happening only seven times in the past:
