The NEAR Foundation, a non-profit organization behind the development of the Near Protocol system, announced today, the 26th, its collaboration with the Chinese technology giant Alibaba Cloud. Through various technologies provided by Alibaba Cloud, the collaboration aims to attract more developers to participate in building the Near ecosystem to support the development of Web3 in China, Asia, and the Middle East.

Alibaba Cloud Introduces Multiple Infrastructure Offerings for Near Protocol Ecosystem Developers

According to Coindesk's report, the NEAR Foundation announced a collaboration with Alibaba Cloud, a leading cloud computing service provider in China, to accelerate the development of Web3 technology in the Asian region.

The NEAR Foundation stated in an interview that this partnership will enable the foundation to leverage Alibaba Cloud's developer network in the region to attract more developers to join the Near Protocol ecosystem and build applications.

In addition, developers in need can release and launch new validators through Alibaba Cloud's "plug-and-play" infrastructure.

The NEAR Foundation and Alibaba Cloud are also committed to providing Alibaba Cloud's Remote Procedure Call (RPC) service to participants in the NEAR ecosystem, a feature that allows users to read data on the blockchain and send transactions to different networks. They also offer multi-chain indexing to provide developers with data query APIs.

Raymond Shaw, Head of Alibaba Cloud's International Web3 Solutions, stated:

Despite the Bear Market, Near Protocol Continues to Advance

The NEAR Foundation is a non-profit organization based in Switzerland that supports the decentralized protocol Near Protocol.

It is reported that Near's co-founder Illia Polosukhin announced at the ETHDenver industry conference in March of this year that they would launch a new feature, "NEAR Blockchain Operating System (BOS)." This operating system allows developers to interact with other users while building or using infrastructure such as Alibaba Cloud.

Recent Alibaba Chairman Joseph Tsai, known for being supportive of the Web3 ecosystem and cryptocurrencies, has also been involved in the industry as an entrepreneur and investor, according to reports.

According to CoinGecko data, following the news of the collaboration with Alibaba Cloud, $NEAR surged over 12% within an hour, with the price reaching approximately $1.57 USD at the time of writing.
