NFT Rarity Experiment: Bored Hash Collaborates with Bored Ape and Hashmasks in Art Gallery

How can two NFT projects, the monkey-themed "Bored Ape Yacht Club" and the masked character "Hashmasks," be combined to create new innovations, even more popular than NBA Top Shot among cryptocurrency enthusiasts? An "unofficial" project called "Bored Hash" is exploring creative possibilities with these two projects.

When asked about "Bored Hash," Dr. Kevin from CyberMiles commented, "This is a stroke of genius! While platforms like oncyber, arium, and various Metaverse platforms such as Sandbox are striving to build 3D exhibition platforms, BoredHash has ingeniously utilized the cost-effective two-dimensional space design to create a sense of space, significantly enhancing the 'exhibition' aspect of NFTs and reinforcing their value and continuity. It's truly admirable!"

Understanding NFT Implicit Rarity

The term Implicit Rarity first surfaced in the Mask project "Hashmasks." Each artwork in "Hashmasks" is composed of five different elements, including different masks, eye colors, items, styles, skin colors, etc., all of which have scarcity. These elements can be considered as Explicit Rarity.

A notable feature of "Hashmasks" is that each NFT will generate a utility token called Name Changing Token (NCT), allowing people to change the name of the NFT artwork using this token. By giving consumers the naming rights of the artwork, Hashmasks believe that involving them in the creation process generates Implicit Rarity, making the creation more diverse and unpredictable.

Monkeys/Masks + Galleries = Implicit Rarity 2.0

Bored Hash will create 4,000 "Galleries," each capable of holding either a monkey or a mask character.

The "Galleries" are uniquely designed rooms that will be distributed fairly in blind box format. Owners of the Gallery NFT with a monkey/mask character will receive a new "Gallery NFT" displaying the owner's artwork.

Bored Hash states that this will create another form of Implicit Rarity. Owners of the Gallery NFT can still independently trade the monkey/mask character NFTs even after placing them in the gallery, without losing ownership. However, the NFT artwork placed in the gallery cannot be replaced.

Remixing NFTs, DAO Community Tokens?

Despite Hashmasks retweeting their posts, Bored Hash currently does not have a significant following on Twitter, and the Bored Ape Yacht Club has not responded specifically.

Whether this integration of other NFTs and the creation of NFTs through remixing will be well-received remains to be seen in the market. Additionally, the project will airdrop "governance tokens" to Bored Ape and Hashmasks holders through governance tokens, purportedly to provide NFT holders with the ability to establish their community governance mechanisms.
