Verify – Media No Longer Afraid of Plagiarism and Theft!
Fox Corporation, a media conglomerate managing brands such as Fox News, Fox Sports, and Tubi Media Group, recently announced the launch of a blockchain platform called Verify. The core function of this platform is to negotiate content licensing transactions related to the use of Fox Corporation's intellectual property with artificial intelligence companies. Verify will also track this content by encrypting signatures on media content in a database.
Collaboration with Polygon Labs
To launch Verify, Fox Corporation partnered with software development company Polygon Labs. Polygon Labs stated on their social media platform X: "With the rise of AI tools and AI-generated media, distinguishing between real and fake has become increasingly difficult. Proving the source and authenticity of any specific content is now more important than ever. This is where Fox Corporation's Verify platform, based on Polygon PoS, comes into play."
Release of Verify's Public Beta
Verify launched its public beta on January 8th, with Polygon Labs adding: "Any media company can register content on Verify, from articles to audio to images, and grant usage rights to AI platforms. Through the Verify tool, individual content will be encrypted and signed on Polygon PoS, allowing consumers to identify content from trusted sources."
This innovative initiative not only showcases Fox Corporation's leading position in media copyrights and digital security but also sets a paradigm for the entire industry, demonstrating how blockchain technology can be utilized to protect and verify the authenticity of digital content.
