The Indian Blockchain Academy will cooperate with R3 company to develop an educational system.

The Kerala Blockchain Academy (KBA) in India is set to partner with the New York-based blockchain firm R3 to collaborate on educational initiatives.

KBA India Blockchain Academy is a government-backed institution specifically dedicated to developing digital information technologies in management schools. On the other hand, the blockchain company R3 is an enterprise consortium with over 200 employees, renowned for releasing an open-source distributed ledger platform called Corda last month, designed specifically for enterprises.

According to a report, through this collaboration, KBA has already designed a developer certification program for Corda blockchain at the company, specifically targeting banks and technology professionals.

As per the content, KBA is the first government institution in India to offer a Corda blockchain development program. Furthermore, the initiative also provides on-site training on technologies like Hyperledger and Ethereum (ETH).

India is a country with a contradictory stance, being hostile towards cryptocurrencies while relatively open to blockchain development. It is reported that the Indian government is preparing a regulatory sandbox to test various blockchain solutions.

Currently in Kerala, India, many banks have started implementing the Corda platform into their core banking systems. R3 currently organizes over 300 organizations dedicated to developing distributed systems, with hopes of future applications in insurance and financial services.
