TikTok enters the digital collectibles market, launching NFTs for rapper Lil Nas X and internet personality GaryVee.
TikTok has announced the launch of NFT collectibles for several creators on its platform, including rapper Lil Nas X and internet personality, Coinbase angel investor Gary Vaynerchuk. These NFTs will be issued on the Immutable X platform, a Layer 2 solution for NFTs based on StarkWare technology.

The project, titled "TikTok Top Moments," will release six NFTs created by various creators on the platform in collaboration with NFT artists. The combinations are as follows:

According to the official website, Lil Nas X will launch his "one-of-one" NFT with Rudy_Willingham on 10/6, and each set of creators' "one-of-one" NFT will be auctioned on Ethereum.
Limited edition NFTs will be released weekly at the end of the month through a layer-two solution, Immutable X. The official statement claims that limited edition NFTs will be sold at accessible prices to ensure that everyone can own a piece of the creators' history in NFT form.
Immutable X, launched by the team behind the blockchain card game "Gods Unchained," is a layer-two solution focusing on NFTs and GameFi.

The primary proceeds will go to the creators and NFT artists. TikTok claims this provides a way for fans and NFT enthusiasts to support creators while exploring the NFT space.
Previously, TikTok collaborated with blockchain music platform Audius, allowing creators to share their work on TikTok. This NFT release marks their second foray into the blockchain space.
The NFT series of short videos released by TikTok will also be exhibited at the Dynamic Image Museum in Queens, New York from 10/1 to 11/5.
