Sygnum issues RWA on zkSync, tokenizing funds from Fidelity International as security tokens.

According to the development team of zkSync, Matter Labs, a tweet states that the Swiss digital asset bank Sygnum is partnering with them to use their team's $50 million reserve to purchase the Institutional Liquidity Fund (ILF) issued by Fidelity International, and to issue corresponding security tokens on zkSync.

Sygnum Issues RWA

The Swiss digital asset bank Sygnum announced yesterday that it will use Matter Labs' $50 million reserve to purchase liquidity funds from Vanguard and tokenize them on the zkSync blockchain for record-keeping purposes.

Sygnum stated that tokenizing real-world assets (RWA) as reserve proof increases transparency in Matter Labs' asset management.

In addition to Sygnum, many international banks are also evaluating and developing products related to RWA, including HSBC's attempt to tokenize gold, Standard Chartered Bank's assistance in tokenizing Singapore bond funds, and JPMorgan's launch of the Onyx platform for tokenized asset management services.

It is evident that traditional institutions have high expectations for RWA, making it a significant application scenario for many traditional institutions to enter the blockchain technology space.

zkSync Starts Developing Applications

With the completion of the Cancun upgrade and the gradual maturity of Layer 2 technology, major Layer 2 solutions are now focusing on developing applications to communicate with the public. For example, Starknet and Arbitrum recently launched game-related bonuses and hackathons, while Manta introduced new point activities focused on re-collateralization applications.

The zkSync team has also begun to demonstrate the results of their commercial development. This includes the announcement by the Fat Penguin team that their online game "Pudgy World" is built on zkSync, and the launch of MVP to start developing RWA, providing a clearer roadmap for the team's network development.
