ApeCoin, issued by ApeCoin DAO, was officially airdropped to holders of Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) and Mutant Ape Yacht Club (MAYC) last Friday, and has been listed on major centralized exchanges. Apart from its role in governance and as a payment token within its ecosystem, ApeCoin has also found other utilities. On the 20th, TIME magazine announced that it will start accepting ApeCoin for subscription payments in the coming weeks.

Time Magazine Accepts ApeCoin as Payment

Through a partnership with the exchange Crypto.com, Time Magazine has been accepting cryptocurrency payments for its website's subscription services since the end of April last year. With the recent introduction of ApeCoin, Time Magazine has also announced that they will be accepting ApeCoin as a payment method in the coming weeks. Currently, Time Magazine accepts up to 22 different cryptocurrencies for payments, with users being able to pay using Ethereum or Bitcoin wallets.

Note: Time Magazine's encrypted subscription service is not yet available in Taiwan.

Time Magazine Deepens Engagement in the Cryptocurrency Industry

This move to accept ApeCoin as payment aligns with the latest trend, not only attracting attention to themselves but also providing ApeCoin with unexpected utility among the general public.
