The importance of cryptocurrencies in the global financial sector is increasing day by day, with more and more institutions looking to include crypto assets in their portfolios. To assist institutional investors, FTX and FTX.US announced the launch of "FTX Access" on September 9.

FTX Access is a tool specifically designed for institutional investors. In addition to consultancy services, it also provides index products, analytical tools, and execution trading services. The official statement revealed that FTX Access will further explore services such as custody, crypto derivatives, and structured products for other crypto assets.

Sam Bankman-Fried, the founder and CEO of FTX, stated that institutional investors' interest in digital assets is on the rise. Recognizing the market demand, FTX Access will be one of the key development plans for FTX in the future.

SBF said:

"The role of cryptocurrencies in the global financial landscape is expanding, attracting numerous institutions looking to add crypto assets to their balance sheets. The launch of FTX Access aims to provide consultancy services to these institutions and offer them familiar products such as index products and analytical tools."

FTX officials mentioned that Jon Cheesman is the Global Head of FTX Access, while Gustavo Migual is responsible for the U.S. region.

Jon Cheesman is the Head of OTC and Institutional Sales at FTX, primarily handling institutional OTC service operations.

Gustavo Migual joined FTX in January this year, previously working as a trader at Morgan Stanley, managing global trading at Passport Capital, and serving as an NFL agent, assisting athletes in managing personal wealth and business investments. His most recent position was as the Global Head of Derivatives Risk Strategy at Coinbase.

Jon Cheesman stated that FTX has been continuously expanding its product services to cater to a broader range of clients and meet market demands. FTX Access is a service launched to address this market need.

Jon Cheesman commented:

"In the institutions we engage with, they have expressed a demand for digital assets but also emphasize the need for secure, transparent, and efficient trading, as well as custody and asset management services. The launch of FTX Access aims to meet this demand. We are excited to introduce FTX Access to the market and look forward to providing users with the best crypto asset management services."

In addition to services for global institutional investors, FTX has recently made significant strides in various countries, including obtaining regulatory approval from CySEC to establish FTX Europe and acquiring the compliant exchange Liquid in Japan to cater to retail investors in Europe and Japan in a compliant manner.

SBF summarized:

"FTX's goal is to provide a variety of services to make it easier for traders at all levels to invest in cryptocurrencies. We believe that institutional interest in investing in digital assets is rapidly increasing, so FTX Access will be one of the key development plans for FTX in the future."
