The interface of Threads appears to blend elements of Instagram and Twitter, with replies to posts prominently displayed at the bottom.
Integration with ActivityPub
According to The Verge, they participated in a product showcase for Threads in early June, where discussions included integrating with the decentralized social media protocol ActivityPub.
ActivityPub is an open protocol for decentralized social communities aimed at enabling interoperability between platforms, allowing users across different platforms to interact without being limited to a single platform. Platforms that adopt this protocol include:
Social platforms: Mastodon, Pleroma, Tumblr
Video platforms: Pixelfed, PeerTube
Music streaming: Funkwhale
This could mean that in the future, Threads users may be able to browse content from these platforms directly through the app without the need for separate downloads or registrations.
Twitter Concerns
Twitter currently restricts non-logged-in users from viewing tweets and has implemented browsing limits for logged-in users, which has led to complaints from many users.

Additionally, there have been rumors that Twitter will limit the number of tweets in a thread to 25, causing displeasure among avid thread writer and venture capital partner Adam Cochran.
However, after his testing, it seems that Twitter has not actually implemented this restriction.
What the fuck?!@elonmusk you ass-clown.
Oh “hurr durr freedom of speech” unless you don’t like walls of text.
Thread engagement drives exponentially more views than long form posts, due to the ability to share quoteable chunks.
Hence more ad rev for your dying business. https://t.co/ARGYLODtqj
