"Sony Chain" Coming Soon? Astar Founder Watanabe Sohta: Has the Potential to Surpass Base Chain
Founder of the Japanese public chain Astar, Watanabe Soichiro, announced a collaboration with the electronic manufacturing giant Sony Group to jointly develop the "Sony Chain," aiming to surpass the Base Chain developed by Coinbase.

"Sony Chain" on the Horizon? Sony Collaborates with Startale Labs
The Japanese public chain Astar is developed by the Web3 developer Startale, founded by Sota Watanabe. In July of this year, the Sony Group announced a total investment of $3.5 million in Startale to build Web3 infrastructure. This collaboration led to the establishment of a joint venture company by Sony and Startale Labs called Sony Network Communications Labs, which will work together on developing "Sony Chain."
Sony Network Communications Labs is expected to be established in mid-September. Sota Watanabe stated:
With the flourishing development of Coinbase's Base, Sony Chain has the potential to surpass it and become a top project in the world.
