According to the information technology company Acumen Research and Consulting (ARC), as reported in a press release issued on 7/16, they predict that by 2026, the global blockchain market share in the healthcare sector will exceed $1.7 billion, with a compound annual growth rate of 48.1%.

From a global perspective, the United States currently holds the largest share of the global healthcare blockchain market, as it is a mature market that is more inclined to adopt smart technologies in manufacturing and healthcare.

Following the United States is Europe, where significant government support and the need to improve substantial healthcare spending are driving factors. ARC points out that among the main drivers of growth in the European healthcare blockchain market are technology spending and the presence of multinational companies. However, multinational companies also lack security, which is one of the factors hindering market growth in Europe.

ARC identifies the Asia-Pacific region as the fastest-growing region for blockchain deployment in the healthcare sector, not only due to its rapid economic growth but also because of the high demand for blockchain applications in healthcare. Taking Japan as an example, severe depopulation, labor shortage, and aging population have led to continuously rising healthcare costs. The healthcare blockchain market is particularly important for Japan.

As reported earlier in July by Cointelegraph, research and consulting firm Allied Market Research predicts that by 2025, the global blockchain supply chain market will exceed $9 billion. The practical application of blockchain is still in its developmental stage, and it is believed that in the future, apart from healthcare, we can expect to see other applications that will greatly benefit humanity.
