At around 6 a.m. this morning, two private keys of Axie Infinity co-founder Jihoz were compromised, resulting in the complete depletion of assets in his wallet by the attacker, including:

  • 3.2 million RON valued at approximately 9.53 million USD
  • 282.32 WETH valued at around 834,000 USD
  • 160,000 PIXEL valued at about 87,000 USD
  • 2.76 million SLP valued at 10,000 USD
  • 2,042 USDC
  • 164 AXS valued at 1,272 USD

The attacker stole a total of 10.46 million USD and converted all assets to ETH before depositing them into Tornado Cash.

Unrelated to Sky Mavis

Jihoz stated that this attack was limited to his personal account and is unrelated to the operations of Ronin or Sky Mavis, reiterating that the companies have stringent security measures in place.
