FTX settles with the IRS, resolving a $24 billion claim
According to Bloomberg, FTX has resolved a $2.4 billion claim from the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), which represents only a small portion of the total amount the agency claimed was owed. This is undoubtedly good news for general creditors.

Solving a $24 Billion Lawsuit for Only Partial Compensation
After the restructuring plan takes effect, the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) could receive $200 million within 60 days, and potentially an additional $685 million if funds allow.
FTX previously mentioned that if the court accepts their arguments with the IRS, it could lead to compensation for users.
