How is SBF doing recently? Lawyer: Performing well, hoping to reduce the sentence.

The former CEO of FTX, SBF (Sam Bankman-Fried), is currently in jail awaiting final sentencing, according to sources familiar with the matter as reported by The New York Times. It is said that he is still handling court documents while in jail and is also requesting a reduction in his sentence.

SBF Seeks Sentence Reduction

According to sources cited by The New York Times, SBF is currently handling relevant court documents while in prison.

His lawyer has submitted a memorandum to the Manhattan federal court requesting a reduction in his sentence. The memorandum argues that SBF should be sentenced to five to six and a half years in prison instead of a hundred years, deeming the latter outcome as absurd.

The memorandum states that SBF deeply regrets the pain caused over the past two years and that his sole focus after the closure of FTX was to protect customers from harm.

Additionally, the lawyer argues for an adjustment in the severity of the crime to "zero loss" and takes into account SBF's charitable contributions, suggesting that a five to six-year sentence would be sufficient.
