Recently, a TikTok influencer, PinkyDoll, has sparked discussions on social media with her "real-life NPC" style live streaming, where she responds in various ways based on the rewards she receives. What is the charm behind this seemingly bizarre live streaming that has led to many imitating it and generated hundreds of thousands of dollars in income for PinkyDoll?

TikTok Influencer PinkyDoll's New Live Streaming Style

Former OpenSea employee @ScottFooMusic explained the recent phenomenon seen on TikTok where a 19-year-old TikTok influencer PinkyDoll interacts with viewers during live streams by making corresponding sounds and gestures based on the gifts they send. While doing this, she also holds a stick to create popcorn.

For example:

  • Ice cream gift: Makes licking ice cream sounds and gestures, saying, "Mmm~ This ice cream is amazing."
  • Cowboy hat gift: Pretends to throw a lasso and says, "He Hot! You make me feel like a cowboy."
  • Duck gift: Continuously quacks like a duck.
  • Balloon gift: Pretends to pop a balloon and imitates the sound of a bursting balloon.

@ScottFooMusic described it as a battle for attention. When TikTok users tune into PinkyDoll's live stream, they'll find her responding to random commands and wondering when the popcorn will pop. At that moment, the user's brain may tell them to leave only after seeing the popcorn burst.

Although it may seem silly at first, users realize that it's similar to playing with electronic pets or doing dance moves in Fortnite Battle Royale. By sending gifts, viewers can elicit responses from the live streamer. Thus, each interaction brings a sense of control and a dopamine rush to the user's brain.

"It's like buying dance moves in Fortnite and using them when you get a chicken dinner. That's what users are doing here," said @ScottFooMusic.

Relying solely on in-stream gifts, PinkyDoll earns a six-figure income each month, and her TikTok videos have garnered over 600,000 views.

PinkyDoll Inspires Imitation! Will SEC Chairman Also Go Live?

PinkyDoll's innovative live streaming style has sparked many imitations, with others adopting NPC-style responses to interact with viewers.

Additionally, some talented internet users have adapted PinkyDoll's live stream into a version featuring SEC Chairman Gary Gensler, showcasing various cryptocurrency personalities reacting to different tokens.

However, it doesn't look very comfortable, so readers, please proceed with caution.
