After Musk reached an acquisition agreement with Twitter, many are speculating whether Musk, who advocates for "freedom of speech" and keeping all opinions on Twitter, will revive the suspended Twitter account of former U.S. President Trump.

Former U.S. President Trump's personal Twitter account @realdonaldtrump was permanently suspended by Twitter in January 2021 due to statements made during the riots and demonstrations following the U.S. election, which were deemed to incite violence. Following this incident, Trump decided to launch his own social platform. Trump Media & Technology Group invested in Truth Social, a decentralized open-source social community platform that officially launched in February 2022 and is only available in the U.S.

On the 27th, Musk tweeted that Truth Social has surpassed Twitter in the free App rankings on the Apple Store. Musk also indicated that he had downloaded Truth Social, but did not explicitly state the intention behind this post:

Regardless, even if Musk were to restore @realdonaldtrump to Trump, Trump has already stated through FOX News: "I will not return to Twitter. I will stay on TRUTH. I hope Musk buys Twitter because he will make improvements. He's a good guy, but I will still remain on TRUTH."
