BlackRock's Bitcoin spot ETF code may have been deleted from the DTCC website, according to Gabor Gurbacs, the advisor at VanEck, an ETF institution. Gurbacs stated, "If you're bearish just because of this, you're not going to make it."

Gabor Gurbacs mentioned that it's now clear that institutions are serious about a Bitcoin spot ETF. The biggest and most skilled industry giants are working hard to achieve a Bitcoin spot ETF.
Issuers can pre-register product codes such as stock codes/ISIN/CUSIP, and register them with DTCC through exchanges or service providers. These are things that issuers can do in advance before approval. Gurbacs speculates that because a Bitcoin ETF is a sensitive topic, the SEC may want BlackRock to be more cautious about it, but it's not a big deal.
Gurbacs believes that the media often takes things out of context to create stories. In fact, there's no issue at all. The Bitcoin ETF is progressing, discussions are ongoing, and issues are being addressed. These are all positive directions and signify cooperation between the industry and regulators.
