According to a report from CNBC, the independent studio A24 is well-received by film enthusiasts for avant-garde films like "Midsommar" and "Hereditary." Last year's Oscar Best Picture winner was "Minari," produced by the studio. The Chinese actress Yang Ziqiong, who played the female lead, won the Best Actress award as well.
Darren Aronofsky recently directed "The Whale" for A24 in 2022, starring Brendan Fraser, who won the Best Actor award for his performance. His previous film, "Black Swan," also earned Natalie Portman the Oscar for Best Actress.
