Trump again criticizes investing in cryptocurrencies as a disaster, talks about U.S. withdrawal: a major humiliation, Afghanistan should be bombed.

The former US President, Donald Trump, made surprising remarks in a recent interview, expressing his negative views on cryptocurrency. He strongly criticized the hasty withdrawal of US troops from Afghanistan, deeming it a major embarrassment for the United States. He believes that the current President, Joe Biden, owes the world an apology for leaving behind significant military equipment.

Trump: Investing in Cryptocurrency is a Disaster

Trump, in an interview with FOX Business on 8/31, was asked about investing in Bitcoin, to which he reiterated his previous stance:

No, I like the dollar. Investing in cryptocurrencies could be a disaster waiting to happen. I think cryptocurrencies are hurting the dollar. We should be strengthening and investing in the dollar, not in other cryptocurrencies, which could all be fake. Who knows what these tokens are? It's definitely something the public is not very familiar with, and I've never been interested in them.

Similar to his previous views, when El Salvador passed the Bitcoin law in June, Trump also stated:

Bitcoin looks like a scam to me. I'm surprised, it was trading at far below $6,000 not too long ago. I don't like Bitcoin because it's another currency competing against the dollar, and as I've always emphasized, I only want the dollar to be the world currency.

On U.S. Troop Withdrawal: A Big Embarrassment

The host also mentioned how the media has been using headlines about the U.S. ending its longest war ever, and asked Trump for his opinion on the U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan. Trump believed that the U.S. going to the Middle East was always one of the worst decisions in history, and Biden should not hastily withdraw from a country the U.S. should never have been involved in:

We were all set to win this war, everything was arranged. You could even declare victory, the Taliban was scared of the U.S. All you needed to do was take away all the equipment, every piece, every screw. Withdraw the people first, then the equipment, blow up what needs to be blown up.

The host interrupted Trump, mentioning that Biden pointed out it was Trump who signed an agreement with the Taliban to withdraw from Afghanistan by 5/1, which led to the current situation.

Trump emphasized that since he signed the agreement in February last year, not a single American soldier was killed, and he believed this was the worst withdrawal in history. He also stated that the actions of the U.S. in the past eight months were all embarrassing, and leaving behind a large amount of military equipment in Afghanistan was a global apology owed by Biden.
