"eBay is the go-to destination for people worldwide seeking perfect, hard-to-find, or unique collectibles. Through this acquisition, we will continue to lead the way and add more digital collectibles to our community," said eBay CEO Jamie Iannone.

KnownOrigin was established in Manchester, UK, in 2018, specializing in art-based NFTs. According to data from DappRadar, its trading volume in the past 30 days is around $5,300, ranking 38th among all NFT marketplaces with only 40 active users.

"As interest in NFTs continues to grow, we believe now is the best time for us to collaborate with influential and experienced companies like eBay," said KnownOrigin founder David Moore.
