Linktree launches three new Web3 features! It can showcase NFT collections and set them as avatars or backgrounds.

The practical social media link aggregation platform Linktree has officially entered the Web3 space! Yesterday, it launched three NFT-related features, allowing users to change their background and profile picture to NFTs on the interface, and set up a dedicated NFT gallery.

Linktree's Three New NFT Features

Through a collaboration with the largest NFT marketplace, OpenSea, Linktree has introduced the following three brand new features:

1. NFT Gallery

Now, by simply adding the URL of an OpenSea NFT, it will be displayed on the interface. If you prefer not to display just one, you can choose to link your Metamask wallet to showcase all publicly available NFT collections in a gallery-like format on the interface.

To use this feature, click on "Explore" in the Links section, where you can find the two functionalities mentioned above.

2. NFT Avatars and Backgrounds

Now you can use NFTs as avatars and backgrounds. To distinguish them, the NFT avatar border is not the original prototype design but instead adopts a hexagonal shape similar to Twitter, and the NFT background includes an additional "Verified" label.

To use this feature, click on "Pick an image" in the Appearance section, then select the option at the bottom and link your wallet to start setting up.

3. NFT Locking Feature

As NFT projects often revolve around community development, project owners can now utilize this feature when adding specific links to their Linktree, such as Discord. Only users holding specific NFTs can see the link after verifying through their linked wallet.

You will see a padlock icon where you add the link. Click on the NFT Contract Address and add the NFT contract address to activate this feature.

These three points are the three features brought by the latest Linktree update, which seem quite practical for blockchain media, project owners, or NFT collectors. Interested readers may want to try them out themselves.
