Little Flower NFT | Takashi Murakami: The roadmap may be different from past precedents, which may be difficult for people to understand.

Takashi Murakami's "Little Flower" will be launched in February, and Murakami has been continuously speaking about it. Today, he released a roadmap, stating: "But it may be different from what everyone expects."

He stated on Twitter that he intends to release the project gradually, rather than unveiling all the plans at once. The known concept so far is:

"There will be 11,664 Takashi Murakami flowers, consisting of 108 different backgrounds and 108 different flowers. The concept of 108, which was mentioned in the unreleased 2021 version of Takashi Murakami flowers, refers to the 108 desires in Buddhism. The style is presented in pixel art reminiscent of 1970s retro Japanese video games."

Murakami mentioned that art is a thought process. He does not want the roadmap to be a product description, but rather a deconstruction of his art concept. Finally, he included his artistic philosophy: "super flat manifesto."

He emphasized at the end:

Contemporary artists today are far removed from the values and meanings of the real world. I believe that our artwork is in a unique position to convey messages to this world. Therefore, the roadmap I am developing may be difficult to understand. You may be full of question marks, or worse, it may lead some people to angrily retort, "Who do you think you are?"
