Azuki team collaborates with renowned anime director Go Wakabayashi from Chiru Labs to launch a series of animations by the end of the year.

The NFT series project Azuki announced today on Twitter that it will collaborate with the renowned Japanese director Goro Taniguchi, who has directed "One Piece Film: Strong World," to create a complete collection of three animated selections. The series is expected to be released by the end of this year as part of Azuki's plan to provide diverse content to the audience.

Azuki to Launch Series of Anime Anthologies

Nftnow reported that the NFT project Azuki and Chiru Labs, the company behind Beanz, are partnering with renowned anime director Goro Taniguchi to collaborate on creating a series of animations based on the Azuki universe.

Specifically, Azuki and Goro Taniguchi will release three complete stories, each with their own director and character designer.

Furthermore, Azuki is also partnering with top Japanese advertising and animation production company Dentsu to gather professionals from various fields with the aim of expanding Azuki's influence, bringing together anime enthusiasts worldwide, and becoming part of Azuki's plan to provide diversified content to users.

Arnold Tsang, Azuki's art director and co-creator, expressed:

Working with Goro Taniguchi is a dream come true for us at Azuki. Our shared goal is to create an animated series that not only expands the Azuki universe but also is driven by web3 for storytelling.

Who is Goro Taniguchi?

Wikiwand data shows that Goro Taniguchi is a prominent Japanese anime director who has worked at animation production companies J.C.STAFF and Sunrise, and is now a freelance creator. Some of his notable works include "Gun x Sword," "Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion," and "One Piece Film: Red," among others.

Additionally, he has been involved in storyboarding for "Kochikame" and "Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters."

In response to this collaboration, Goro Taniguchi expressed strong anticipation and recognized the potential impact Azuki could have on the Japanese anime industry in certain aspects:

I will be involved in the production of this project, firstly to create new opportunities for talented Japanese anime creators through Azuki, and secondly to expand the awareness and concepts of Japanese animation to new audiences.
