NBA launches dynamic NFTs! Appearance changes based on players' playoff performance, free minting starting 4/20 midnight
The NBA, the world's premier basketball league, created the NBAxNFT Twitter account and Discord earlier this month, showcasing its ambition to enter the Web3 world. On the 19th, it officially announced the launch of "The Association" NFT, which will be available for free minting starting tonight!

The Association series launched by the NBA is not your typical PFP. It features dynamic designs that change over time based on the performance of teams and players on the court. In other words, the NFTs will undergo visual changes based on the achievements of players during the 2022 NBA playoffs.
The visual changes are handled by multiple artists and include variations in backgrounds, player accessories, and facial expressions.
The NFTs will be available for free minting starting at 12:00 on 4/20 (Taiwan time) with a Gas Fee required, in blind box format, and will be revealed on 4/22. This series consists of 18,000 NFTs, featuring 240 players from the 16 playoff teams, with each player having 75 versions.
Note: Although free to mint, this NFT series is initially only open to early supporters on Discord for minting.
Unlock Achievements for More Variations
As mentioned above, the more achievements obtained, the more visual variations there will be. Achievements are divided into two categories: player achievements and team achievements.
For players, achieving milestones requires outstanding performance on the court, such as scoring over 30 points in a game, achieving 10 assists in a game, hitting more than 4 three-pointers in a game, and so on. Some achievements are progressive, with conditions becoming more stringent with each accomplishment. Player achievements will affect the features and accessories of the NFT.
Team achievements depend on the outcomes of the playoffs, such as reaching the championship round, sweeping opponents, defeating higher-seeded teams, and more. Team achievements affect the background and frame of the NFT.
