"Elysium Shell" Second Generation Artwork Unveiled! Taiwanese Artists to Redefine the Definition of Digital Collectibles
This article is provided by Elysium Shell.
Elysium Shell, created by a digital artist from Taiwan, has released its second-generation work ESNX on Wednesday, 11/23. Continuing the context of its background story, ESNX serves as the embodiment of a character's consciousness, appearing in a mecha style before the public. In addition to the cool robot design, the team has made more bold attempts this time, not only proposing new concepts such as NFT integration and assembly, allowing all participants to freely determine their character's appearance, but also providing 3D files that meet industry standards to the holders for use. Elysium Shell has also collaborated with the Taiwanese technology development team Ctor Lab, by introducing the new smart contract standard ERC1155Delta, saving substantial transaction fees for all participants. Let's take a closer look at what amazing things ESNX has to offer!
Table of Contents
ESNX Three Stages
This release consists of three main stages: Fusion, Assembly, and 1/1 Airdrop:
11/23 Fusion Phase Ended
To obtain the second-generation mecha, participants do not need to participate in any public sales or register on a whitelist. They only need to hold the first-generation characters E-Shell and blind boxes E-Code. They can then go to the official website for fusion. After fusion, holders will not immediately receive a complete mecha, but will receive five components including head, body, hands, legs, and back accessories from ESNX Components. Before the assembly opens on 12/23, participants can freely exchange components and preview the assembly through the assembly preview to create their favorite look before the assembly function is activated.
It is important to note that the team did not set a specific end time for the fusion phase but introduced a total quantity shrinkage mechanism. Holders can not only freely customize the appearance of the robot but also determine the total number of ESNX works. If new ESNX is not fused for a period of time, the overall quantity will automatically start to decrease. When the total quantity reaches zero, fusion will automatically close, and no new mecha parts will be produced. This approach, decided by the community, further highlights Elysium Shell's respect for holders and the belief that the community always comes first.
12/23 Assembly Phase
After a 30-day waiting period, the assembly is expected to open on 12/23. For those eager to see the complete appearance of the mecha, the team also provides an assembly simulator for all participants to preview the mecha's appearance.
In addition to the artist collaboration edition known as Artist Code, the mecha will be divided into four major races: Invader, Guardian, Oracle, and Outlaw. As shown in the image below, the race will be determined by the four parts: head, body, hands, and legs. If all parts are of the same race, the participant will receive a mecha of that race. The first empowerment will be related to the third stage's Artist Code airdrop. The team mentioned that other interaction modes and related empowerments will be announced gradually in the future.
Artist Code Airdrop
Due to the introduction of the shrinkage mechanism, there is a possibility that the second-generation artist collaboration edition, also known as Artist Code, may not be available. To reward the community for their support in assembling the mecha, an airdrop event will be conducted at a later date. All participants who assemble Invader, Guardian, and Oracle mechas will have the opportunity to receive the airdrop.
Features of the Second Generation Work
Your Collection, Your Decision
Elysium Shell aims to redefine digital collectibles with an innovative spirit and create a new NFT experience. This time, with ESNX, the team attempts to transplant the experience of assembling toys into the virtual world and combine it with blockchain technology to leave an eternal record of the participants' creative process. The team is responsible for creating assembly tools and parts, but the final appearance of the work will be determined by the community's will.
3D Files, Laying the Foundation for the Metaverse
Based on current industry standards, the team is creating characters and will provide three types of 3D files: GLB, VRM, and FBX in the future. This allows all creators and developers to use them in various metaverse scenes. To adhere to the open spirit of Web 3, the released 3D files can be used for commercial purposes like NFT works. The team stated that ESNX holders will have priority access to the 3D files, and next year, they plan to release the files for the first-generation works to their holders.
In presenting on OpenSea, the Elysium Shell team has made changes to the display format. As shown in the image below, when browsing on OpenSea, the work will break the traditional static display mode and appear dynamically. Holders can choose different action modes for the mecha while browsing, adding more playability and anticipation for how the mecha will move in different metaverse scenes when the 3D files are released in the future.
New Smart Contract Standard, Saving Significant Fees
Due to the complexity of the ESNX fusion and assembly process, participants will interact multiple times with smart contracts, which may consume a considerable amount of gas fees. Therefore, Elysium Shell is collaborating with the Taiwan development team Ctor Lab to adopt the new smart contract standard ERC1155Delta, allowing everyone to save fees and easily create their desired mecha without burden.
More Surprises
In addition to the previously mentioned Artist Code airdrop, participants who fuse will also receive an additional small box called Codec. While the team remains mysterious and only hints at revealing its purpose in the future, this additional element adds more anticipation amid the fusion and assembly frenzy in the community.
Future Development
The team has repeatedly stated that even in a bear market, they will not stop exploring more possibilities for the metaverse and digital collectibles. The release of ESNX and the future provision of 3D files are the best proof of this commitment, which has already gained public approval. At the time of publication, over 1000 sets of mecha parts have been produced, and all participants are eagerly awaiting the assembly, unaffected by the bear market.
Although Elysium Shell is a Web 3 native brand, it not only cultivates in the virtual world but also plans to meet everyone in the real world. The team has traveled the world to participate in exhibitions and is planning to release peripherals and organize offline events. In the future, they will also appear in the public eye in a more diverse way with their complete artistic design and story content.
