Third-party payment provider Moonpay has announced a partnership with leading NFT trading platform OpenSea to launch credit card payment functionality. Moonpay has announced on Twitter that credit card payments will soon be available, but there has been no response from OpenSea. According to the official announcement, this payment method is aimed at allowing users to purchase NFTs in a more convenient way.

Moonpay launched NFT Checkout in January this year, allowing users to purchase NFTs with debit and credit cards. This collaboration will integrate NFT Checkout with OpenSea.
OpenSea already charges up to 2.5% in fees for all transactions, and if Moonpay takes a share as well, the cost of purchasing NFTs through credit card payments may be much higher compared to using cryptocurrency directly.
MoonPay mentioned that this payment feature will cover NFT secondary market transactions, public sales, minting, etc., and will be rolled out in stages to select users.
