Soochow University held a press conference for the inaugural issuance of Non-Fungible Tokens (NFT) in collaboration with the Ju Ming Museum on Thursday, August 26, 2021, at 3:00 PM in the School of Business, where the Digital Currency and Financial Research Center, abbreviated as Soochow FinTech Center, was also involved. President Wei-Ta Pan of Soochow University pointed out that the application of blockchain technology behind digital currencies will be one of the mainstream trends in the future. The issuance of two NFTs in collaboration with the Ju Ming Museum by Soochow FinTech Center marks a pioneering initiative for museums and showcases an important collective creation by students. In the future, there will be more innovative works to share with the public, demonstrating Soochow's important achievements in combining interdisciplinary innovation.

The press conference will invite the Director of the Ju Ming Museum, Su-Ling Lai, and the CEO of the issuing platform "Jcard Coffee," Wan-Wei Deng, to witness this historic moment. The two NFT works are inspired by the outdoor exhibition at the Ju Ming Museum, specifically the "Tai Chi Series - Tai Chi Arch" and the "Human Series - Three Armed Forces" featuring the naval vessel "Guangda." These works capture two unique moments: the sunrise at the Tai Chi Arch, presenting a "museum invisible to the general public," and the Guangda under clear skies, portraying a "museum without people during the pandemic."

Director Su-Ling Lai of the Ju Ming Museum emphasized the cross-border collaboration in this NFT initiative, stating that the dialogue with students involves Ju Ming's "greatest work of a lifetime" - the Ju Ming Museum, a piece that encompasses "sky, earth, mountains, water, past, present, and future." What special features the Ju Ming Museum will present under the students' creation will be revealed during the press conference. In addition to the limited issuance of NFTs, how the Ju Ming Museum will integrate virtual and real creations to encourage more people to enter the museum will also be explained during the event.

This significant cross-industry cooperation initiative chose the well-known domestic NFT platform "Jcard Coffee" for the issuance. Wan-Wei Deng, CEO of Jcard Coffee, mentioned that Siweida Innovative Technology has upgraded its exchange STARBIT EX to the "Jcard Coffee" NFT trading platform, recognizing the irreplaceable value that 'irreproducible people, events, places, and things' will generate in future commodification. People worldwide will need a place for transferring and exchanging them. "Jcard Coffee" recently co-hosted the 'NFT Master's Tournament' with the Taipei New Art Expo, featuring digital works from hundreds of artists worldwide, including calligraphy master Yu-Long Tsai, emerging artists Time Lin, and Mi Dou. This collaboration with the Ju Ming Museum and Soochow University is set to elevate the fusion of Taiwan's art scene with innovative technology to new heights.
