First Wave to Launch Chicago Bulls Championship Ring! E-commerce Giant Shopify: Open Platform Allows Merchants to Sell NFTs Directly

Unlike before, where platform merchants could only sell NFTs through third-party markets, e-commerce giant Shopify's President, Harvey Finkelstein, announced that selected merchants can now directly sell NFTs on the platform. The first batch will feature six NFTs of the NBA Chicago Bulls' championship rings.

Starting from 7/26, the Chicago Bulls will release a championship ring NFT on the platform daily, totaling six rings. The quantity of rings for each edition varies, corresponding to the championship year. For example, 91 NFTs will be issued for the 1991 season, and 98 NFTs for the 1998 season.

There are three different levels of rings: Legendary, Classic, and Rare. Each edition of Legendary NFTs consists of 6 pieces, Classic NFTs have 23 pieces, and the Rare ones vary based on the championship year mentioned above, totaling 567 NFTs.

The animation will also display the playoff record for that year, the scores of each game in the NBA Finals, and the number of championships won by the Chicago Bulls.

The Bulls NFTs are built on the NFT public blockchain Flow developed by Dapper Labs, the creator behind NBA Top Shots.

Harvey Finkelstein believes that Shopify is empowering the platform's merchants with this move. However, when asked if all merchants are eligible to sell NFTs, he responded:

Currently, only a few have been selected. Stay tuned for more.

To promote the NFTs, the Bulls also organized a special event. Before 10/31, holding a Legendary NFT for each year will entitle you to sign a one-day contract with the Bulls, shoot hoops at the United Center with a friend, and enjoy VIP seating at a game.
