Monthly users exceed 6 million! Blockchain music platform Audius rises, further integrating public chain to become NFT display platform

The well-known blockchain music platform Audius announced in August that it has partnered with TikTok, allowing creators to share their works on TikTok. This news has driven up the price of its platform token, AUDIO. With the booming NFT market, Audius will also be adding more features related to NFT display on its platform.

What is Audius?

It is believed that most people have had some experience using music platforms like Spotify or SoundCloud. Similar to these platforms, Audius allows creators to publish their own songs on the platform, and users can freely listen to music on it. However, Audius is a decentralized blockchain music sharing platform where, through blockchain node verification, information such as the time of publication, author, and music will be recorded after creators upload music.

From a user perspective, Audius is completely free. Regular users can follow their favorite musicians and enjoy the music they love. In addition, users can also use the platform's token - AUDIO, to suggest and vote on new platform features or upgrades, stake tokens to earn shared transaction fees. Currently, to obtain AUDIO tokens, besides participating in platform events, users can also purchase them through cryptocurrency exchanges. The more AUDIO tokens a user holds, the more functions they can access on the platform.

NFTs on Solana can also be displayed

Recently, Solana has been accelerating its development and launching a series of plans related to NFTs and DeFi. Audius has also taken notice of this, as they announced yesterday (2) on their Twitter that platform users can now link their cryptocurrency wallet Phantom on Solana to showcase their NFT collections on the platform.

Prior to this, Audius only supported users to display their NFT collections on Ethereum. However, to use the NFT display feature on Audius, a user's account must be at the "Silver Level" or above, and they must hold at least 100 AUDIO tokens.

According to Decrypt, Audius co-founder and product director Forrest Browning stated:

As we continue to migrate Audius' various features to Solana, deep integration with a large user base is crucial.

Perhaps it is because Audius is so concerned about user satisfaction on the platform that they have decided to extend the functionality to Solana. Forrest Browning further stated:

To be frank, the user experience with Phantom is hundreds of times better than MetaMask, and we are pleased to see more NFT projects launching on Solana.

With the introduction of various features by Audius, there are currently about 285 million AUDIO tokens staked on the platform, and the monthly unique user count has surpassed 6 million. In the future, Audius will continue to launch various activities and new features, making the platform's development very promising.
