Even during the pandemic, you can still enjoy live concerts! The holographic music platform BEATDAY is hosting a concert by the popular group Meixiu, featuring collectible figurines and "light show" NFTs.

In recent years, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, many live music events have faced the dilemma of needing to be postponed or canceled. More and more singers and bands are turning to online concerts. With the development of new technologies, HTC's brand VIVE ORIGINALS has launched the world's first holographic music platform, "BEATDAY," which not only allows fans to have an immersive concert experience but also integrates technologies such as encrypted payments and NFTs, bringing a whole new look to the music performance format.

Introduction to BEATDAY Holographic Concert

BEATDAY utilizes a technology called "Volumetric Capture", which involves 8 pillars and 32 cameras in a studio to capture 30-60 volumetric images per second. This technology rapidly constructs three-dimensional images with volume dimensions, capturing every detail of the performing artist. Through this technology, singers can perform in various virtual scenes.

Furthermore, before watching the performance on the platform, the audience needs to create a virtual avatar. During the performance, they can freely navigate their avatar in the virtual space and watch the show from their own perspective. The closer they get to the stage, the larger the singer appears, and the farther away, the smaller they become.

Exclusive NFT for Meisho Group

BEATDAY is still in the beta testing phase and collaborated with the well-known local band "Meisho Group" on September 22, 24, and 26 for a three-day holographic concert.

In addition to concert tickets, BEATDAY partnered with Taiwan's local music NFT platform Fansi to launch the "BEATDAY x Meisho Group: Holographic Concert Cyber Otaku Collection Set." Audience members can purchase this set using a credit card or cryptocurrency and receive various items such as the "Meisho Virtual Music Doll" NFT and the "Meisho Self-made Instrument Light Show 2.1 Version" NFT.

In the future, if this performance format continues to gain audience favor and community cohesion, the commercial model of music performances may no longer be limited to ticket revenue and physical merchandise. The opportunities in NFTs and digital merchandise may expand, potentially developing into a unique economic system.
