Instagram announced in its help center that it will gradually phase out support for digital collectibles, with the changes taking effect starting April 11, 2023. User content in third-party digital wallets will not be affected. Users will no longer be able to create new digital collectible posts on Instagram at that time.

All collectibles shared by users will remain as posts, but will no longer include any special effects or blockchain information. Users can still delete these posts at any time; only collectible posts visible in the "Digital Collectibles" tab on a user's profile will be moved to the user's private folder.

Furthermore, Instagram will no longer link with users' third-party digital wallets or associate users' accounts with third-party digital wallets. Users will no longer be able to view their digital collectibles or manage third-party wallet binding settings in the associated options.

Users will also no longer have access to personal information related to collectibles. If users wish to download personal information, they must submit a request before April 11, 2023. Instagram will begin deleting digital collectibles data from the system, including users' wallet addresses. Data storage and deletion will be carried out in accordance with their privacy policy and digital collectibles terms of use.
