Binance announced on 11/28 that it has partnered with the crypto startup travel company TravelByBit to launch a financial signature card that facilitates cryptocurrency payments on major travel websites.

According to the official announcement from Binance, the card functions similarly to a traditional prepaid card, allowing users to preload various cryptocurrencies such as BTC, BUSD, BNB, and ONT onto the card for payments on various travel websites like Agoda, Booking, and more.

In addition, using the TravelbyBit travel card will offer additional rewards and exclusive travel discounts. This partnership is set to launch in early 2020, initially targeting travelers from the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), Australia, and Europe, with plans for further expansion.

CEO of TravelbyBit, Caleb Yeoh, sees this collaboration as beneficial for the crypto payment industry, stating:

"Many businesses accepting crypto charge users high fees, which is a significant barrier to adoption of the technology."

The partnership between TravelbyBit and Binance aims to incentivize early adopters and hopes to see continued growth in cryptocurrency adoption, providing crypto payments for global travelers.

Aside from the TravelbyBit travel card, other companies are also offering similar services. For example, cryptocurrency booking company Travala announced that it will allow its customers to book any hotel listed on Booking.com using cryptocurrencies.

Earlier this year, the co-founder of Norwegian Air announced plans to launch his own cryptocurrency exchange, which will facilitate the airline's acceptance of cryptocurrency payments.
