Bloomberg: Australia's largest stock exchange ASX will list a Bitcoin spot ETF by the end of the year.
According to a report by Bloomberg, the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX), Australia's largest securities exchange, is expected to list the first batch of approved Bitcoin spot ETFs by the end of 2024. Issuers such as VanEck, BetaShares, and DigitalX have already submitted applications for such ETFs earlier this year.

Australia to Have Bitcoin/Ethereum Spot ETFs in 2022
Global X and 21Shares collaborated to launch Bitcoin spot ETF with the code: EBTC and Ethereum spot ETF with the code: EETH back in May 2022. The custodian is Coinbase Custody Trust Company, LLC, with asset sizes of 97.1 million Australian dollars, approximately 64.08 million US dollars, and 19.26 million Australian dollars, around 12.71 million US dollars. They are currently listed on the CBOE in Australia.
Australia's Major Exchange ASX Plans to Join In
The main securities exchange in Australia is the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX). ASX is one of the largest securities exchanges in the world, with its own clearing and payment systems, overseeing companies' compliance with its operating rules. ASX manages about 80% of Australia's trading volume.
According to Bloomberg, the Australian Securities Exchange is expected to list the first batch of approved Bitcoin spot ETFs by the end of 2024. Several issuers, including VanEck, as well as local asset management companies BetaShares and DigitalX, have already submitted ETF applications earlier this year.
Hong Kong to Launch Six Bitcoin/Ethereum Spot ETFs on 4/30
The US SEC approved Bitcoin spot ETFs on January 10 this year, causing a stir in the market, with total assets of 53.2 billion US dollars across eleven ETFs. BlackRock's IBIT set a record of 71 consecutive days of net inflows.
In mid-April, Hong Kong officially approved Bitcoin and Ethereum spot ETFs from Huaxia Fund, CSOP Fund, and Bosera Fund. In order not to be left behind and to declare Hong Kong's determination to transform, the six Bitcoin and Ethereum spot ETFs were issued today and will officially be listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange on 4/30.
Hong Kong will list cryptocurrency spot ETFs tomorrow, with a total of six Bitcoin/Ethereum spot ETFs.
