Binance adds three Irish registered companies; Global job openings mostly in Singapore, Hong Kong, and Taiwan

The world's largest cryptocurrency exchange Binance has faced regulatory warnings from multiple countries this year, leading to the suspension of trading pairs in various countries, stock tokens, and the prohibition of trading derivatives in Europe. In September, it also halted services for users in Singapore. In a move to demonstrate its commitment to developing compliance with financial institutions, Binance reportedly added three registered companies in Ireland today.

Although Binance has stated its intention to establish a global headquarters in order to cooperate with regulatory investigations, the specific location has not been disclosed. However, by examining job postings on LinkedIn and the official website, we can gain a general understanding of where the publicly announced hiring hotspots are.

Binance Registers Three New Companies in Ireland

According to the Irish Independent, Binance registered its first company, Binance Ireland Holdings, in Ireland last year. On September 27 of this year, it further registered three more companies: Binance APAC Holdings, Binance Services Holdings, and Binance Technologies. There has been no official response to this move.

Geographical Distribution of Job Openings at Binance: Singapore Leads

Binance has always stated that the company operates in a distributed manner, with employees spread worldwide, many working remotely. We attempted to gather data on job openings in different geographical regions based on publicly available recruitment information to see where there is a higher demand for manpower. The main sources of data are LinkedIn and the Binance official website, for reference purposes only.

LinkedIn Job Openings: 738

Searching for Binance job openings on LinkedIn with the filter set to "past week," the following numbers were found for different regions:

Singapore 192, Hong Kong 159, Taiwan 142, UK 57, Netherlands 55, Vietnam 11, Brazil 9, Argentina 7, Russia 7, Mexico 7.

Singapore, Taiwan, and Hong Kong are the main regions for job openings.

Job Openings on Binance Official Website: 451

According to information from the Binance official website, compared to the numbers on LinkedIn, the regional distribution of job openings is as follows:

Singapore 52, Hong Kong 15, Taiwan 20, UK 8, Netherlands 1, Vietnam 7, Brazil 6, Argentina 2, Russia 8, Mexico 3.

Aside from these, other job openings are spread across different countries worldwide or are specifically labeled with geographical regions. Upon comparison, it is evident that Singapore, Hong Kong, and Taiwan remain the primary regions for Binance recruitment, with Ukraine also having 10 job openings, relatively higher than other regions.

Despite not serving users in Singapore, Binance seems to have an increased demand for manpower in the region compared to others.
