Renowned investor and Berkshire Hathaway founder, often referred to as the "Oracle of Omaha," Warren Buffett, responded in an interview with CNBC that his dinner with TRON founder Justin Sun did not result in him receiving any Bitcoin, nor did it change his views on cryptocurrency.

From the CNBC interview, it is evident that Buffett still holds a negative stance towards Bitcoin. When asked if the dinner with Justin Sun altered his perception of cryptocurrency, Buffett restrained a chuckle and stated, "Cryptocurrencies basically have no value and they don't produce anything." Buffett even joked that maybe he should create "Buffett Coin" after he passes away, but it would be worthless.

He further emphasized that none of his companies are involved in Bitcoin-related businesses. Buffett expressed that Bitcoin is merely a tool for illicit money transfer, offering no societal or economic value, akin to a suit used to carry money.

Justin Sun Publishes Transfer Records Again

Regarding Justin Sun's claim that Buffett received the Bitcoin he gifted, Buffett clarified once more that he does not own any cryptocurrency. However, he commended Sun and others for their gracious demeanor during the dinner and thanked them for their participation in the charity event.

In response, the active Twitter user Justin Sun promptly stated that the Samsung phone he gifted Buffett indeed contained Bitcoin and TRON tokens, disclosing the wallet address. The question remains whether Sun, who pre-set the wallet on the phone for the transfer, instructed Buffett on how to safeguard the private keys.

Buffett has consistently expressed negative sentiments towards Bitcoin in the past, labeling it as "rat poison" and devoid of value. He has also criticized Bitcoin alongside Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates on a television program. While Buffett's perspective holds weight in traditional investment circles, the cryptocurrency community has always been intrigued by his views. Despite Justin Sun's efforts earlier this year to engage in a dinner with Buffett and potentially sway his opinion, it seems the legendary investor's stance remains unchanged.
