The Classic Story of Changpeng Zhao

If you are a veteran in the cryptocurrency circle, the story of Changpeng Zhao should be familiar to you. According to Nas Daily, he was born in China, raised in Vancouver, Canada, and currently resides in Dubai.

In the video, it is described that Changpeng Zhao started with poker and became interested in Bitcoin after a friend mentioned it. He took the whitepaper very seriously, saying, "It's only nine pages, but I knew this is the future of money."

Recalling in an interview, Changpeng Zhao said, "I started to believe in cryptocurrency as the future, just like when I first learned about email, I knew it would last." He sold his house in Shanghai and invested all in cryptocurrency, his friends thought he was crazy, as he had no job and no house at that time. When Bitcoin once dropped by 70%, he lost $70,000. His mother called him stupid, questioning why he couldn't just work in a good company like everyone else.

Changpeng Zhao reminisced, "Bitcoin in 2013, 2014, was a very unique opportunity for me, only very few people could own it." He told himself that he must seize this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

He left his previous life behind, studying blockchain technology from 9 in the morning till late at night every day, for five years. Eventually, he founded the cryptocurrency exchange Binance, which quickly became the world's number one cryptocurrency exchange.

Nas Daily asked him, "How does it feel to have so much money?" Changpeng Zhao responded, "I don't think money is important. I focus on building products that people use, making it the most efficient and impactful thing in the world."

Like SBF, the founders of exchanges are portraying an image of not caring about material things and only wanting to do charity. Nas Daily also emphasized in the video that Changpeng Zhao has no material desires, no car, and plans to donate his wealth to charity.

In conclusion, Changpeng Zhao stated, "When you know you are right, you have to stick to it till the end."

"Imagine what you can achieve when you truly believe in those things," Nas Daily summarized.
