Superbloke has become the official blockchain Gacha partner of Manchester City in Korea, Japan, and Southeast Asia.

According to the announcement released by the club, the game company Superbloke will incorporate club members into its blockchain soccer game - FC Superstars, allowing fans to support players online.

In simple terms, FC Superstars, a DAPP, enables users to create or develop soccer star tokens and use them as digital assets. Fans of Man City can build and train a digital team by collecting and training digital player cards of Man City through real match statistics and in-game training.

The public test service of FC Superstars was launched in April, and at that time, the startup stated that it would engage in various activities and collaborations with Man City through the partnership, rather than just the game.

Damian Willoughby, Senior Vice President of Partnerships at Manchester City, pointed out that the relationship between the club and the game is becoming increasingly close to provide fans with a unique experience of interacting with the club through digital platforms. He added:

We are excited to welcome Superbloke to the City family and enhance our offering in this space.

In early August, Premier League football clubs including Leicester City announced the renewal of their partnership with the multi-asset and crypto investment platform eToro.

The sports industry and the crypto industry are slowly coming closer, collaborating to explore unconventional development opportunities.
